First Lady and co-founder of A Prayer Away Church, Kali Morris, has been a dedicated member since its inception in 2019. She and her husband, Dr. Marshall L. Morris, the founding pastor, have been instrumental in establishing and nurturing the church community.

Throughout her time at the church, First Lady Kali has taken on various leadership roles, including leading the women’s group, OutSpire, and contributing to the children and activities ministries. She is deeply passionate about women’s ministry and strives to build lasting relationships with women around the world.

Inspired by her personal journey and the obstacles she has overcome, First Lady Kali is committed to church leadership. As the helpmate to Dr. Marshall L. Morris, she provides unwavering support, both personally and professionally.

Her goals as First Lady include being a role model for women everywhere and fostering a strong sense of community within the church. She achieves this by sharing her story, showing vulnerability, and reassuring others that they are not alone in their struggles.

Outside of her church responsibilities, First Lady Kali enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has a passion for photography, capturing the beautiful moments in life. Together, she and Dr. Morris have five children, two grandchildren, and one more grandchild on the way.

Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, First Lady Kali has always been dedicated to helping others, a theme that has carried through her professional life. Her faith journey has been a complex puzzle that she is now beginning to understand, with God’s guidance revealing the significance of every piece.

The verses that inspire her most in her work are Psalms 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” which reminds her to trust in God’s control, and James 1:2-4, which teaches that enduring trials strengthens faith and joy.
