Dr. Marshall L Morris is dedicated to empowering communities through a focus on prayer, teaching, and living out God’s vision. With over 20 years of experience in ministry since 2001, he has faithfully served in ministry, while answering the call to pastor in 2020 as founding Pastor of A Prayer Away Church. Seeking to fulfill God’s purpose, his goals are helping others draw nearer to Christ and achieve their highest potential.  

Holding a Doctorate in Business Administration, Dr. Morris has over 10 years in educational leadership and currently serves as Assistant Principal at Sun Valley Academy. His areas of focus are building relationships with students to facilitate character development and academic success.  He has also been instrumental in implementing various projects centered on improving campus operations. As Pastor, Dr. Morris’ also brings a passion of teaching to the church by creating impactful online Bible classes, men’s retreats, and outreach programs centered on prayer.

Married to his beautiful wife Kali since February 2011. She has been a source of strength and encouragement over the years. He and Kali are blessed with many biological and spiritual children. Psalms 102:28

Pastor Morris’ vision as a church is to be “an epicenter where prayer draws people closer to God (Acts 4:31).” Dr. Morris is committed to the church’s mission of “teaching everyone everywhere to always pray and never give up (Luke 18:1).” Through compassionate leadership in ministry education, his dedicated service empowers communities to experience God’s best in every area of life.
